Award-winning Classical Guitarist Peter Fletcher is featured in a free concert at 2 p.m. on Saturday, October 20 at Tacoma's downtown Main Library. The acclaimed guitarist will be performing a diverse program of music from four centuries. The library is located at 1102 Tacoma Avenue South in downtown Tacoma. Children's Music Academy offers comprehensive music education to children in grades 1-12.

Fall term starts on Sept 7th and ends on Nov 30th. Space is limited, and early registration is strongly encouraged. Registration opens Aug 1, 2012.

The mission of the Children’s Music Academy is to provide high quality instruction that will develop, in children, the skills necessary to sing, play, understand and love music for the rest of their lives.

Award-winning classical guitarist and recording artist Peter Fletcher began guitar study at the age of 7 under classical guitar instructor John Sutherland. In December, 1983, he made his formal debut at the age of fifteen under the auspices of The Brasstown Concert Association in North Carolina. Fletcher has studied extensively with world renowned classical guitarists such as Jose Tomas, David Leisner, David Russell, Oscar Ghiglia and Pepe Romero.
