Smooth & Juicy, Satellite Grand Opening - Today!

Tacoma Mayor Marilyn Strickland will cut the ribbon at today's grand opening celebration. After a very successful month-long "soft opening" Smooth & Juicy, in partnership with Satellite Coffee is ready to officially celebrate their opening tonight at 5 pm.

I am already addicted to the "Pango Tango," a pomegranate mango concoction that packs as much wake up power as a double shot of Satellite espresso. Located next to the Downtown YMCA and just a few blocks away from the Children's Museum of Tacoma, Smooth & Juicy is a welcome respite from the teriyaki/bar theme going on downtown. Seating is limited so plan to grab your smoothies and go.

Smooth & Juicy currently produces one smoothie at a time which can lead to a little bit of a line, but so far I haven't had to wait longer than about 4 minutes to be served.

If you don't feel like a fruity drink, the always fabulous Satellite Coffee Company has opened up another location inside the same storefront.

Stop by today and check it out! Satellite will be offering free snacks and french press coffee.
