Thanksgiving Dinner 2010 - Eating Out at Tacoma Restaurants

Whether you have little kids and no one to help you cook, or you'd like to treat your whole extended family to a feast, (think about how much less family drama you'll have in a public place!) it's not too late to pick a restaurant for a chore-free Thanksgiving Dinner.

I called around today and came up with this list of locally-operated turkey day options:

C.I. Shenanigans - 3017 Ruston Way, Tacoma, WA 98402, (253) 752-8811.
C.I. Shenanigans will serve a Thanksgiving buffet, including all the holiday standards plus more. 28.99 adults, 23.99 65 and up 6-10 12.99 5 and under 4.99. Taking reservations now, but filling up fast.  Spaces available for 5pm or later.

The Cliff House - 6300 Marine View Dr, Tacoma, WA 98422, (253) 927-0400.
The Cliff House will be open from 1-6pm, serving their regular menu as well as a special Thanksgiving dinner with all the trimmings, lamb, New York Steak, fillet, rib eye, stuffed halibut and steelhead salmon.  29.95 for the Thanksgiving special.  Plenty of space available if you call now.

Knapp's - 2707 N Proctor St, Tacoma, WA 98407, (253) 759-9009.
Knapp's will be open and serving a special Thanksgiving menu, from 12 to 6pm. Choices include turkey, honey ham, or slow roasted prime rib with all the usual fixings plus pumpkin pie for dessert.  $17.99 per person, taking reservations with plenty of space available if you call now.

The Hob Nob - 716 6th Ave, Tacoma, WA, 98405, (253)272-3200
Serving a special Thanksgiving menu, from 12 to 6pm. Choices include turkey, honey ham, or slow roasted prime rib with all the usual fixings plus pumpkin pie for dessert.  $16.99 per person, no reservations.

Johnny's Dock - 1900 E D St, Tacoma, WA 98421, (253) 627-3186.
Johnny's Dock will be open on Thanksgiving, serving a special menu with an additional turkey dinner, as well as salmon or prime rib. $22.95 - $28.95 for adults, $12.50 for kids 12 and under.  Open from 1-6:30, room available if you call now.

The Lobster Shop (Ruston Way) - 4015 Ruston Way, Tacoma, (253) 759-2165.
The Ruston Way Lobster Shop will serve an all-day Thanksgiving buffet. 29.95 for adults 24.95 for seniors,$15 for children 6 to 12, 5 and under free. Very few large party spaces left.  Dinner served from 11 am to 6 pm.

Stanley & Seaforts - 115 E 34th St, Tacoma, WA 98404, (253) 473-7300.
Stanley and Seaforts will be open on Thanksgiving, serving a traditional turkey dinner for $25, as well as seafood and beef options.  Children's turkey dinner also available.
