Positive Career Affirmations for Success

From the moment we enter adulthood, we’re expected to work for a living and with good reason. Rent, food, clothing, transportation, utilities… the list of bills goes on and on and how else are we supposed to afford that.

Add in the fun things you enjoy doing, like shopping, traveling, and dining out, and having a job becomes even more critical. Just as important is finding a job that brings you joy, excitement, and fulfillment even when you’re grinding the 9-5.

Here are some career affirmations to help you love your job, and if you can’t love it, maybe they can help you find a position where you’re appreciated and fulfilled!

I am, and always will be, enough.

Imposter syndrome can be a very real thing where, even though other people tell you that you’re qualified to do something, you feel like you don’t have the skills or know-how to get it done.

The good news is that what you don’t know, you’re smart enough to learn. No job is too big for you to get done, and you are good enough to do it.

I am an asset to every organization and I can prove it.

You have the skills, education, and experience to rock every job you truly want. Even if none of those things are true, truly believing that that’s the case will allow you to grind until you’re qualified to do everything you dream of.

If you dream of being an engineer, believe that you’re going to be the best engineer on the team and do the work to get there. Wake up every morning believing that you’re the best employee they’re ever going to have and you will make yourself indispensable.

Making decisions is easy for me.

If you’re in a high-stress position where you’re required to make many choices that can have a huge impact on the company you’re working for, it’s important to really stand behind the decisions you make.

You can absolutely make the right ones and you have the intuition to know what those are, you just need to tap into it by reminding you that the decisions you make are for the best for whoever is involved, no matter the criticisms you may face.

I welcome new ideas.

Creativity is key to being successful at work, whether you’re working in retail or you’re the CEO of a big company. Being able to think on the fly and problem solve is an incredibly important part of being in the workforce and if you’re aiming for a promotion, being able to prove that you can come up with unique solutions to issues just might be the thing that makes your management sit up and notice you.

I follow through with what I say.

Everyone wants an employee they can trust to hit deadlines and produce quality work. If you say you’re going to have a project on your employer’s desk by Friday, they want to know that it will be there and it will be the best work you’re capable of providing. You’re someone that your management can trust to follow through.

I always attract the best of circumstances.

We’ve all been in a situation where things go wrong and it feels like there’s nothing you can do about it. By believing that you attract the best of circumstances, even the worst ones will feel like a piece of cake.

You’ll become someone who can find the silver lining in any difficult time and you’ll be able to roll with the punches.

I am successful in my interviews.

Whether you’re looking for a brand new job or applying for a different position within your organization, interviews can be nerve-wracking. You have to look great and you have to have all the best answers to questions.

Sometimes, they ask you things about where you see yourself in five years and you have no clue how to answer them! By feeling confident about your success in interviews, you’re setting yourself up to get the job of your dreams!

The perfect job is looking for me.

Maybe you’re not happy with what you’re doing right now or you’re unemployed. You know what you would love to be doing with your time but it just hasn’t been working out.

By believing that the perfect job is looking for you, you’re manifesting the reality that there is a company out there they will appreciate you for your numerous skills and assets so you’re not dreading waking up to the alarm every day, but excited about what your workday will bring for you.

My coworkers are positive people that I’m excited to work with.

Positive people attract other positive people. By believing the best of your coworkers, you’ll form strong interpersonal connections with them.

Treat every coworker as though they’re the most valuable and prized employee in your workplace and they will treat you the same in turn. Yes, that even includes Linda in accounting who always heats fish up in the work microwave!

I have created the perfect job for me.

If you’re an entrepreneur, you may have struggled with the fact that you’ve put in immense amounts of your time, money, and effort into an idea that may feel like it’s feeling.

The truth is, you create your destiny, and the future of your business depends on you. If you don’t feel like your business is the perfect job for you, starting to treat it as though it is can really help you figure out creative ways to turn it into everything you dreamed. That’s one of the perks of being the boss!

Your job doesn’t have to be a place that you’re unhappy to go to every day, feeling like you’re burning yourself out to make ends meet.

By including positive affirmations every day focused on your career, you will shortly find yourself thrilled about all of the opportunities you’ve been given to succeed. No matter your career path, positive thinking will get you to the top of the ladder so you can have the job you’ve been dreaming of!
